Locals using salt to catch mollusks in the mud with a high risk of creating a unbalances salinity in Ha Pak Nai is a wetland area dominate by a mudflat, Yuen Long District facing Deep Bay, New territories, Hong Kong, China. It is one of few place where juvenile Chinese horseshoe crab, Tachypleus tridentatus, is found. Horseshoe crabs are not crabs at all, but are most closely related to spiders, scorpions and trilobites. Tachypleus tridentatus is a species of horseshoe crab found in the seas off China, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, and Vietnam. IUCN status is; data deficient.
